2Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, organization name, and authentication credentials. If you sign up via a third-party provider (such as GitHub or Google), we receive basic profile information from that provider.

Usage Data

We collect information about how you interact with our Services, including features used, pages visited, actions taken, timestamps, and session duration.

Technical Data

We automatically collect device type, operating system, browser type, IP address, and general location data derived from your IP address.

Content Data

Our Services allow you to create and manage code, projects, and other content. We store this content to provide and improve the Services. Your code and project files remain your property.

Infrastructure Data

When you use our cloud platform, we collect data related to your cluster configurations, deployment logs, environment settings, pipeline configurations, and secrets metadata (we do not store the secret values themselves in plaintext).

AI Agent Data

When you interact with our AI-powered features, we collect the prompts, inputs, and interactions you provide. This data is used to deliver the AI functionality and may be used to improve our AI features. We do not use your proprietary code submitted to the AI agent to train third-party AI models.

3How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • Service Delivery — To provide, maintain, and improve the Origin9 desktop app and cloud platform, including processing your deployments, managing infrastructure, and delivering project management features.
  • AI Features — To power AI-assisted coding, meeting intelligence, project planning, and other AI-driven functionality within the Services.
  • Infrastructure Management — To provision and manage Kubernetes clusters, deployment pipelines, environments, and secrets on your behalf.
  • Analytics & Improvement — To understand how our Services are used and to improve functionality, performance, and user experience.
  • Communication — To send you service-related notifications, security alerts, and (with your consent) product updates.
  • Legal Compliance — To comply with legal obligations, enforce our Terms of Service, and protect the rights and safety of Origin9 and our users.

4Data Storage & Security

We take the security of your data seriously. We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including:

  • Encryption of data in transit using TLS/SSL
  • Encryption of sensitive data at rest
  • Regular security assessments and monitoring
  • Access controls and authentication requirements for our team
  • Secure infrastructure hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS)
While we implement industry-standard security measures, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services. When you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, unless retention is required by law.

5Data Sharing & Third Parties

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your data with the following categories of third parties only as necessary to provide the Services:

  • Cloud Infrastructure Providers — We use Amazon Web Services (AWS) to host our platform and your infrastructure resources.
  • Payment Processors — If you subscribe to a paid plan, your payment information is processed by our third-party payment processor. We do not store your full payment card details.
  • Analytics Providers — We use analytics services to understand usage patterns and improve our Services.
  • AI Service Providers — AI features may use third-party AI models. Your prompts and interactions are transmitted to these providers to deliver AI functionality, subject to their privacy policies and our data processing agreements.
  • Legal Requirements — We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, or legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Origin9 or others.

Our Services are not directed to individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If we become aware that a child under 16 has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete that information.
